ACT AGE DISPENSATION FOR SCHOOL SPORT AUSTRALIA
12 YEARS & UNDER CHAMPIONSHIPS
For School Sport Australia 12 years and under championships a generic age dispensation of up to 6 months for all team members has been granted to the ACT for all team sports for 2008 to 2010. Therefore students can now be born after 30 June 1997 in 2010 (rather than the 30 December 1996 cut off date).
HOW THIS WORKS
Train on squad are selected from an ACT Primary Schools Sports Association Carnival (which students from year 3 to 6 attend). These events are listed on the ACT primary school sport calendar which can be found on the primary school sport link on this website. Students in year 7 who are eligible by age and interested in trying out for a 12 years and under team are then also invited to attend the train on squad. Dates for the train on squads will be advised to schools by team officials some time after the ACT day. For more information contact your school sports coordinator. Train on squad dates when available will also be advertised on the trial dates link on this website.
